Our Cozy Christmas Corner {Home Décor}

Hello my gorgeous friends! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving with your families and I hope to hear all about your Black Friday finds! Today I want to share with you a project my husband and I finished last night and are so proud of.

Welcome to our Cozy Christmas Corner!

our-cozychristmascorner

Living in our new home we have much more living space, we have been blessed with a more open concept layout which I love! Nothing extra needed to be purchases this season to conquer this look but I will let you know where things have been purchased in the past. I will try to link you to the exact product or possibly something similar.

Not too much had to change in our dining room to make this look work for us. Normally here in this space we have our small white wood, four chaired, kitchen table and this antique chalkboard on the wall. Our kitchen table is still in this room just on a far corner.

Our tree topper is one that has been handed down to me and is one of my most loved pieces in my home. A handmade, beaded angel made by my great grandmother Ruby.

I incorporated some string lights to hang around our antique chalkboard that perfectly plug in right behind the bench. It was like a match made in heaven!

This bench was a birthday gift from my mom two years ago. At our old house we used it as storage and a place to store shoes in our mudroom. She purchased from Overstock.com. It is so nice to have a piece that can be used for many different placements.

Throw Pillows

I was having trouble finding a tree skirt this season that was reasonably priced and was not all glitter.  {We would have glitter paw prints everywhere.. no thank you}. This is left over burlap from our August wedding laid and ruffled underneath. Another option if you are having trouble finding a tree skirt, you can use a table cloth or any other piece of fabric.

Let’s jump right into it… yes, I have already started my Christmas shopping but I can’t resist all of the discounts right now. In this blog I will be posting some links and showing you some photos of décor I have found and loved (Definitely on my Christmas List).

Today until November 20th Pier 1 Imports is having 15% off your entire purchase with the code “MERRY15”. In addition, orders over $49 receive free shipping!

I’m obsessed… but in my defense Christmas is only five weeks away, and last year I remember shopping very last minute. As for my October beauty favorites … I became a Sephora VIB Status Member… (which will only get me into even more trouble.)

If you don’t already know, VIB Status at Sephora happens when you hit a certain dollar amount in a Calendar year. With the new status on your account you receive exclusive deals and handpicked gifts sent to you.

Below I will have listed some of the new items I have tried and LOVED! Underneath each photo I will have it’s link to the Sephora site where you can find more information just like I did previously above.

Glam Glow “Supermud” Set

I have very sensitive skin so when trying out new face or body products I always need to research. People have been raving about Glam Glow and I now know why! I had no skin irritation during or the morning after.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I have been blown away by the power of this Hourglass primer. At the salon we work under such hot lights and sweat from all of the hot tools (very sexy, I know) so to have a primer that can hold my makeup during a full work day is a must!

I want to thank you all so much for taking the time to come visit my website. If you have any questions or comments do not hesitate to contact me! If you like what you see and want to receive emails when a new blog post is up, don’t forget to subscribe or follow me on Instagram for updates! I am sending you all of my love and all of my positive energy!

Simple Ways To Bring Fall Décor Into Your Home

Hello Gorgeous! So today I wanted to step away from my normal hair blogs and talk about my current home décor fall favorites. As some of you may know, the past few months have been crazy: getting married, traveling to our honeymoon, moving across the state and everything else that comes into play with those life changes. So as we settle in to our new home I have decorated with very simple touches of fall.

I knew that this season I didn’t have time or the patience to get too in depth with my fall décor (which means my Christmas décor will be much more festive… my husband will be so excited.) I am in LOVE with this look I have photo’d above.. so simple. I already had the tray and glass hurricane vase, which by the way both have come in handy so often for my decorating ideas. Add some small pumpkins into your larger vase and light a cozy candle. I have this positioned at a slight angle on our living room coffee table.

Modified version of the first photo idea… stacked pumpkins (the white one did not come with a stem) used with the same candle and tray on our white wood kitchen table.

Two other candles I have been obsessed with this season have both been from Bath & Body Works. The first is Pumpkin Pecan Waffles which I found and tried last year (I could be wrong but I think the packaging has changed) and purchased the hand soap with micro beads for our guest bathroom. I will have the photo below.

Second is the Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake candle, this year was my first time trying it and I do really enjoy the scent. Personally for me it is one I can’t have lit for too long but is still cozy. I will post a photo below. (Our Bloodhound, Copper in the background, she is very excited about our fall décor too!)

Lastly I wanted to share one of my most favorite fall purchases that I believe I found at Hobby Lobby or Homegoods. This is one of my favorites because of the style, nothing about this is screaming at you. Currently in my kitchen since it is so subtle.
